About the author

He is the professor; the doctoral supervisor; doctor of engineering, University of Tokyo, Japan; and winner of the National Overseas High-level Talents Introduction Program-Youth Project and top-notch young talents of Liaoning "Xing Liao Talents Program". Before returning to China, he worked as a researcher in Japan Institute of Physical Chemistry and Singapore Science and Technology Bureau. He was mainly engaged in precision/ultra-precision machining, optical manufacturing, laser processing, metal substrate construction, and other aspects of research. The research results were rated as the research highlights of 2018 A*STAR, and more than 80 academic papers were published in famous international journals in the fields of manufacturing, friction, and optics, and more than 80 international and national invention patents were authorized. He has presided over more than 20 projects such as JSPS Youth Fund, General Projects of National Natural Science Foundation, and National Key R&D Plan "Key Scientific Issues of Transformational Technology". He has won more than 10 awards, such as the Technical Promotion Award of Japan Machine Tool Promotion Association and the first prize of academic achievements such as Dalian University of Technology. He is currently a senior member of China Mechanical Engineering Society (the deputy director-general of Extreme Manufacturing Branch, a member of Micro-Nano Manufacturing Technology Branch) and a member of American Society of Precision Engineering (ASPE).
