Dr. Manoj Kumar is Research Associate-I (RA-I) in the Department of Hydrology, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. M.Phil. and Ph.D. from the School of Environment and Sustainable Development, Central University of Gujarat, India. He has written many high-impact factor papers and book chapters. He is a reviewer of various international journals and a member of many technical societies. He has been awarded the Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (2017-218) by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, Government of India. He received the Best Oral Presentation Award at TEQIP-III sponsored 2nd International Conference on Sustainable Technologies for Environmental Management (STEM-2019) in 2019. Dr. Kumar received the NESA-Young Scientist of the Year Award 2021 from the National Environmental Science Academy, New Delhi, India, at the International Conference on Promoting Environmental Technologies for Waste Management and Sustainable Development (WMSD-2021) in 2021 at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. His areas of interest include constructed wetlands, phytoremediation, bioelectrochemical systems, such as microbial fuel cells and microbial electrolysis cells, energy recovery from wastewater, environmental microbiology, and environmental engineering. He is presently working in the area of groundwater hydrology and energy recovery from wastewater and developing low-cost systems.

Dr. Neeraj Kumar Singh is Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Biotechnology and Food Science at Durban University of Technology, Durban, South Africa. Previously, he worked as Research Associate in the Department of Bioscience and Bioengineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. He earned his M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Environment and Sustainable Development from the Central University of Gujarat, India. Dr. Singh has contributed extensively to government-funded research projects under the Department of Science and Technology, Defence Research and Development Organisation, Department of Biotechnology, and BRICS countries, focusing on microbial fuel cells, bioelectrochemical systems, bio-hydrogen, and bioethanol production. Dr. Singh has authored eight high-impact research papers (average impact factor: 7.827), one edited book, and five book chapters published in reputed journals. His research has pioneered innovative pretreatment strategies for lignocellulosic biomass to recover value-added products and suppress methane emissions, thereby enhancing hydrogen production in bioelectrochemical systems. He has presented his work at numerous national and international conferences and serves as a reviewer for various prestigious international journals. Currently, Dr. Singh is involved in advancing wastewater treatment and scaling up bio-hydrogen and bioethanol production from agricultural biomass at pre-pilot and pilot stages.

Dr. Abhilasha Singh Mathuriya is Scientist D/Joint Director(s) in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India. She has completed M.Tech. in biochemical engineering and Ph.D. (Engineering) in biotechnology. Her areas of interest include bioelectrochemical systems, waste-to-bioenergy, fermentation, and biological wastewater treatment. She has authored 61 high-impact factor papers and 18 books/book chapters. She has applied for 40 patents for various wastewater treatment reactor designs, received 21 patent grants, and managed 2 externally funded research projects from DST and DRDO.
