On my interaction with many students at Final level, I came to know that they are very much in need of a simple indirect tax book covering all topics which helps them to revise and re‖Wise‖ the subject from time to time, during their idle time in travelling, waiting at ITO office etc.,
As a faculty, it is a herculean task for me to make things simple - to the point and at the same time ensuring that the essence of law in indirect tax is not missed.
It took me a considerable amount of time and I sincerely thank the almighty and my family for enabling me to put enough efforts required to bring this novel concept into your hands.
However, the detailed information may not be available in this book but I ensured that the crux required for appearing exams is covered. It is always advisable to read the main text and base this book as a revision exercise.

Mr. Tharun Raj is a practicing Cost Accountant and a consultant in Indirect tax, based at Chennai. He worked as senior manager – Finance & Audit in MADRAS STOCK EXCHANGE LTD. He has to his credit over 5 years of practical experience in the field of indirect taxation and over 7 years of teaching experience.
His Passion towards Indirect tax laws has brought him a long way by catering the needs of students of various professional examinations including CA, CMA & CS. His areas of interest are Indirect Taxation, Financial Management and Cost Accounting.
