About this ebook

Find your soulmate and keep them forever using the authentic folklore practices in this lovely giftable hardback with 100 two-colour illustrations.

Bring Me Love is all about the weird and wonderful things people really did used to do to find and keep a love partner, and packed full of suggestions for what we can do today. It's rooted in the rigorous historical research for which author and folklorist Icy Sedgwick is known, yet delivered in a light-hearted, often hilariously funny style that will cheer up the love-lorn and encourage them to keep going! Discover:

  • Love spells to draw partners to your door: try making a wish while you blow on a dandelion, or create your iynx (spinner) to use in a romance-generating ritual.
  • Plant power: tuck a sprig of thyme in your hair to make yourself irresistible, or try turning a bluebell inside out to see if your feelings are returned.
  • Household divination: drop egg white into water to see the form of your future partner, or stick pins in a candle to call a lover to you.
  • And much, much more, from using card oracles to trying out poppet magic to reading signs and omens.

Rooted in real folkloric, historical and magical practices, Bring Me Love also provides modern adaptations of traditional rites, making it the perfect guide for the romance-seekers of today.
