Vitaly Nishanov
I was born in 1946 in Kyrgyzstan to medical doctor parents who named me Vitaly in hopes of ensuring my health, though reality had other plans. My dream of becoming a macho led me to meet friends who introduced me to mountain hiking, opening up a world of adventures that ultimately improved my health.
My passion for adventure inspired me to pursue a unique specialization at university: math biology. For more than 20 years, I worked as a scientist before being invited to teach at a university, eventually becoming a professor.
In 2004, I moved to the USA, embarking on a new adventure as a Business School professor at the University of Washington.
During my lectures, I shared many of my stories with students. Encouraged by their reactions, I began writing down my funnyย advantures. I have since published three books, and this is one of them.
