Best book you'll ever read on hip-hop, for real. They interviewed over 100 of the legends of hip-hop, and there is so much information in here that it is hard to take in all in one sitting! Definitely a book that you will come back to time and time again to discover things you missed and important points that are made by some of the best MCs who ever did it. Outstanding!

I've read a lot of books on hip-hop and this is the best one, along with it's sequel, How to Rap 2... everything you could ever want to know is covered in this book, it goes over all the techniques and is easy to read because they interviewed all the best rappers for it. Check it out.

I know how to perform though... gave me a lot rapper quotes, and told me how well they did. Wish there was more on HOW TO RAP
