 This is a collection of twelve academic essays that consider understandings of home and the impact of dominant societies on indigenous societies and their homes. The book covers home and language preservation, homelessness, retention of land, tobacco use in the home, loss of home through trauma and natural disaster, ageing and health, and the meaning of home. This is the third book in the Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga Edited Collections series.

Tungkol sa may-akda

 Mere Kēpa is a researcher on Te Puāwaitanga o ngā Tapuwae Kia Ora Tonu, School of Population Health, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Auckland.

Marilyn McPherson (Te Rarawa and Te Aupōuri) is a senior research fellow with Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga. From 2004 to 2011, Marilyn was research – programme leader at Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga.

Linitā Manuʻatu is a migrant from the Kingdom of Tonga. She is a senior lecturer in education at AUT University. Prior to that, she was a teacher of science, mathematics, economics, and English and Tongan to international migrants.
