Her Siege

This is book two in The Valiant Trilogy and it continues Vincent and Mackenzie's story and omg I can't wait to read the final book. Mackenzie thought Vincent had feelings for her but then she finds out that he has a wife and she is absolutely devastated and she is determined to carry on working for him to prove that regardless of how broken hearted she is that she will keep going. Vincent is married but it is not what it seems and how can he convince Mackenzie that she is the only one for him and he can't loose her even though he has hurt her so badly. There are so many twists and turns along the way that you feel like you are being pulled in different directions, Mackenzie has had so many shocks, betrayal, loss, secrets that she needs time away to process everything but unfortunately there are more coming out of the woodwork and she doesn't know which way to turn and then she gets the biggest challenge of her life and that may completely destroy her. What will happen next between them is anybody's guess as they both fight a battle that may be too big even for them even though there chemistry and connection between them is just getting stronger it may not be enough. This series just keeps getting better and better with each book and I absolutely love reading it and I couldn't put this book down as I had to see what would happen next and it was so addictive. The characters and storyline pulled you in right from the first page and kept you turning right to the end and it certainly kept you on your toes and I definitely recommend you read this and you will definitely not be disappointed as Megan Matthews is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention. This story continues on from the first book and gives us more twists and turns and heartbreak. I felt for Mackenzie even though I knew Vincent wanted her. It's not always easy and the story takes us on their journey and the lies and secrets keeping them apart. It does end on another cliffhanger and left me on edge waiting for the next book.

The story continues to keep us pulled into the lives of Mackenzie and Vincent. The past has reared its ugly head and Vincent is trying to keep her in his life. The story keeps you turning the pages with betrayal, danger and drama. The story ends on a cliffhanger and I cannot wait for the next book.
