This last story in the series was an excellent read. Even though all of the books are standalone it’s best, I think to read them in order and I think you will have a better understanding of this book that ties everything up. This was an excellent series and I would like to read more of Ms.McCollum stories. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley. This is my honest and voluntary review.

The last Wolf brother is left in trying to break the curse against his clan by marrying. He is tired of being pushed. Needless to say he meets his match in Tessa all bets are off. Can this temptress be his answer? Anything Heather writes is a great story and this one is not different! Be pulled into this series and if you have not read the rest, don't miss out!

What an adventure! Eagan is the last remaining single Macquarie son, so it's up to him to finally break the centuries-old curse on his family. But not if he can help it. Fighting all the pressure from his brothers and their wives to settle down and get married too, he's determined to leave Wolf Isle and set out on his own adventure, curse or no curse. Just as soon as he's done helping this new midwife deliver a baby in the village. Tessa is new to this region, having been dropped off on Wolf Isle by her navy captain father after living with her now deceased mother in France, but she took to her mother's career like a duck to water and is now the best qualified person to help. If she can stay one step ahead of the witch hunters, that is. This story has everything to make a reader swoon. Reluctant hero, fiercely independent heroine, an assortment of villains, and a surprise twist that hit me like a frying pan to the head! I honestly never saw it coming, but once I realized what was happening I was amazed at the author's brilliance in designing this plot twist. The writing was completely captivating, holding me spellbound until the final HEA was secured. A beautiful epilogue wraps up the entire series and gives us all the backstory necessary to understand the origins of the curse. I can't recommend this book and the entire series highly enough. If you enjoy reading Highlander romances, you don't want to miss the Macquaries of Wolf Isle. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
