About the author

Cheng Gang, the R&D director of Nokia, Broadband Device BU, possesses over 24 years of extensive experience in research and development. He holds a professor engineering grade in China. Leading a highly skilled and innovative team, Cheng Gang and his team have successfully applied for over 40 Wi-Fi patents and delivered more than 100 million devices worldwide, establishing themselves as a prominent player in the global market for the past decade. In 2020, Cheng Gang published a technology book titled “Key technology survey of smart home”.

Qian Zhihong, the head of business operation of Nokia Broadband Devices BU. She has extensive product knowledge and industrial expertise on fixed networks across hardware as well as software and led Nokia Wi-Fi go-to-market program.

Jiang Yiming, the head of R&D software of Nokia Broadband Device BU, possesses over 20 years of experience in software development and software engineering management. With expertise on Broadband Access, Wi-Fi and Home Networking, he holds more than 10 patents in these technology areas.

Yang Zhijie, original senior R&D software engineer of Nokia Broadband Device BU, secretary of IEEE 802.11 TGbh task group, focusing on new Wi-Fi technology standards and product development. He holds more than 10 Wi-Fi patents applied for Wi-Fi 7 and Wi-Fi 8 and is an active contributor on IEEE Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be) task force.

Thirumurthy Rajamanickam is currently the Head of System Architecture at Nokia Broadband Devices BU, bringing over 25 years of experience in Product Architecture and leading the R&D team throughout the entire product lifecycle. He has successfully designed a wide range of products, including Ethernet switches, DSLAMs, OLTs, routers, and residential gateways, many of which have been recognized as best in class by renowned agencies. Additionally, he has been instrumental in driving multiple patents for the Broadband Devices BU. Bell Labs honored him with the prestigious distinction of being a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff (DMTS).
