Galen Strawson, geboren 1952 in Großbritannien, war Professor für Philosophie an der University of Reading und ist gegenwärtig Professor für Philosophie an der University of Texas in Austin. Neben Abhandlungen zur Philosophie des Geistes, der Metaphysik und der Moralphilosophie verfasst er auch philosophische Essays und ist als Literaturkritiker tätig.
