Acerca deste libro electrónico

Six months into their relationship, Bryony found out that Tim suffered from severe clinical depression. This was a secret Tim had kept for a very long time. Fake it ‘til you Make it is Edinburgh Fringe First-winner Bryony Kimmings’ new work about clinical depression and men, made in collaboration with her partner Tim, who works in advertising. A wickedly warming, brutally honest and powerfully heartbreaking show about the wonders of the human brain, being in love and what it takes to be a "real man".

The book contains articles by Andy Field (Forest Fringe), The Vacuum Cleaner (activist and performer) and Georgie Harman (CEO of Beyond Blue), covering performance, art and mental health.

Acerca do autor

Inspired by the taboos, stigmas, anomalies and social injustices around her, Bryony Kimmings' work centres around outlandish 'social experiments' conducted with genuine genius, intrigue and wholehearted fearless gusto. Previous works have seen the artist retracing an STI to its source, spending 7 days in a controlled environment in a constant state of intoxication and becoming a pop star invented by a 9 year old. Bryony's award-winning work has toured across the world. Most recently to Soho Theatre, Antifest (Finland), Culturgest (Portugal), Fusebox Festival (Texas), The Southbank Centre, Melbourne International Comedy Festival (Australia) and Lisinski Operahouse (Croatia). Kimmings also mentors artists, teaches workshops, writes a popular arts blog, speaks on panels and is sometimes on the telly.
