About this ebook

Set in 1879 London, England. The Man of the House is an erotic retelling of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Orphaned at a young age and raised in workhouses and foundling homes, nineteen-year-old Molly Knight takes a position in the household of Dr. Jekyll and his wife, Felicity, as governess to their two young children. Molly senses something is not quite right in the Jekyll household and is soon drawn into a sensual forbidden relationship with the evil Mr. Hyde when she discovers Dr. Jekyll’s hidden laboratory. When Felicity goes missing, Jekyll must choose between his secret lust for Molly and the rescue of his wife.

The Man of the House is part of Evelyn Ellis’s Victorian Seduction and Surrender Series, erotic romance novellas and short story collections of villainous Victorian men and the young virginal women they seduce. The Man of the House is an erotic romance—a love story written for adults. It contains scenes, language and themes intended for a mature audience. Sensitive readers are strongly cautioned

About the author

Evelyn Ellis has had a passion for historical romance from an early age. She liked the spicy ones best, but they were never spiced in the right way (or enough) for her taste, so she began writing her own erotica. She particularly enjoys writing erotic short stories and novellas. The shorter format allows for deeper character examination over the course of a very hot story. Her stories explore taboo sexual subjects in time periods from Medieval to the Swinging Sixties in settings all over the globe.

Evelyn lives in the country with her long-suffering spouse who swears he is her inspiration.
