About the author

Enrique Zuazua (Eibar, Basque Country, 1961) holds the Chair for Dynamics, Control, Machine Learning and Numerics - Alexander von Humboldt Professorship at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) and part-time appointments at UAM in Madrid and Deusto Foundation in Bilbao. With a dual PhD (University of the Basque Country and Université Pierre et Marie Curie), his research in applied mathematics covers PDEs, systems control, numerical analysis and machine learning.
