I am delighted to introduce the previous edition of Environmental Chemistry book for III B.Sc Semester-V Chemistry students from all universities in Andhra pradesh. This book is precisely created in compliance with the most recent APSCHE syllabus, which takes effect in the academic year 2023-24. With many years of teaching expertise, I have come to understand the difficulties that students confront when learning the language and content of the curriculum. To solve these issues, I made a concentrated effort to produce a streamlined textbook that is both accessible and thorough. This textbook is divided into five units: Introduction of Environment, Air pollution, Water pollution, Chemical Toxicology, and Ecosystem-Bio Diversity.

The primary features of the textbook is:

1) Adherence to the APSCHE (Upcoming NEP 2020) Syllabus

2) Write in Clear and Simple Language

3) Diagrams are intended to be simple and easily repeatable for improved learning and retention.

4) Additional MCQs are extremely useful for students preparing for competitive exams.

* Finally it is my genuine goal that this book will be a beneficial resource for students, allowing them to easily and confidently grasp the ideas of Environmental Chemistry.

About the author

Dr.Sateesh Kumar Beepala, Head, Department of Chemistry and acting as a Vice Principal at Government Degre College Tekkali. He attained B.Sc (MPC) from M.R College, Vizianagaram and M.Sc (Organic Chemistry) from Andhra University in 2007 and Doctor of philosophy (PhD) in CSIR-IICT Hyderabad awarded by Osmania University in 2022. He qualified 4 times CSIR-UGC NET Examination, got all India 22nd Rank in 2009 and GATE exam in 2010. He was selected for different jobs like DIPP-Patent Examiner in 2010 and APPSC-DL exams in 2011 & JL in 2012 consecutively. He has 2 years pharmaceutical industrial experience, above 12 years of teaching experience at UG & PG level education. He published his research papers in the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and the Elsevier journals a year ago and published 6 books for B.Sc and PG students recently. He makes nearly 400+ YouTube videos for students and job aspirants and has 3.65 K+ subscribers. He is acting as Research Guide and BOS Chairperson in Chemistry, Dr. BRAU-Srikakulam.
