Dr. Reshma G. Kini is Professor of Pathology at Father Muller Medical College, Mangaluru, Karnataka, India and Quality Manager, Father Muller Medical College Hospital Laboratory. She is completed her Advance Course in Medical Education from JNMC Belagavi and is currently pursuing FAIMER from GSMC Regional Centre Mumbai. She has more than 15 years of teaching experience and has been a resource person for more than 40 faculty development programs – both at regional and national levels. She has authored chapters and articles related to medical education. She has won awards for research papers in medical education and in subject specialty. A passionate teacher who believes in teaching concepts and making learning fun.
Dr. Nisha J Marla is a Professor in department of Pathology, Father Muller Medical College, Mangaluru, India. She has more than two decades of experience in teaching. An oncopathologist both by interest and experience, she has more than 50 publications in national and international journals.
Prof. Olle ten Cate attended medical school at the University of Amsterdam in the 1970s and subsequently was employed there as an educational advisor. He completed this Ph.D. dissertation in 1986. In 1999 he was appointed as a professor of medical education at Utrecht University. From 2005 until 2017 he Directed the Center for Research and Development of Education at University Medical Center Utrecht. Since 2018 he is the Scientific Director of Education at UMC Utrecht and is affiliated with University of California San Francisco as adjunct professor since 2012. He was president of the Neth. Association for Medical Education 2006-2012. In 2017 he received the NVMO Han Moll Award and the J.P. Hubbard Award of NBME in the USA, in 2018 the Ian R. Hart Award, and in 2020 a Royal Dutch distinction. Dominant in his current work is competency-based medical education with EPAs.
Dr. Umashankar T is presently working as a Professor and Head of, the Department of Pathology, Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore. He did his MBBS from Govt. Medical College, Bellary (presently Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences, Bellary) in 1992 and MD (Pathology) from Govt. Medical College, Nagpur. Earlier he served as a Lecturer and Assistant Professor in Fr Muller Institute of Medical Education and Research, Mangalore, Consultant in Pathology at KLES Hospital and Medical Research, Belgaum and as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at Yenepoya Medical College, Mangalore.He has more than 25 publications in National and International journals. He was a faculty for several CMEs and Conferences. He has organized State and National level, CMEs, workshops, and conferences. His areas of interest are GI Pathology, Oncopathology, Hematology, and Clinical Pathology. He is a life member of IAPM and KCIAPM.
Dr. Vijay Shankar S is Professor at Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, B G Nagara, Adichunchanagiri University, B G Nagara. He is an alumnus of MBBS Bangalore Medical College, & MD Vijaynagara Institute of Medical, Sciences, Bellary. He is the current Vice President and the president elect of the Karnataka Chapter - Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists (KCIAPM).He has served as the Hon Secretary of KCIAPM from 2012 to 2021.He is the Editor in Chief of Journal of Diagnostic & Academic Pathology the official journal of KCIAPM and the Editor of Journal of Medical Sciences & Health and the Assistant Editor (Social media) of Indian Journal of Pathology and Microbiology and the Associate Editor of Indian Journal of Pathology & Oncology. Dr. Sunita Patil Y is a Professor of Pathology at J. N.Medical College, Belagavi. She is also the Director at the University Department of Education for Health Professionals (UDEHP) KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research, Belagavi, Karnataka, India. She is the former member of Reconciliation Board of Medical Council of India (MCI, Now National Medical Commission) and was core member in curricular reforms in designing the CBME Undergraduate Medical Curriculum implemented in 2019.She has contributed to the competency book published by MCI for the implementation of the new CBME Curriculum. She has contributed 2 Chapters in textbooks on Medical Education and Medical Humanities. He has worked as Consultant Pathologist in Regional Referral Laboratory, Apollo Diagnostics, Bengaluru, AHLL and is experienced in Quality assurance in NABL and CAP-accredited laboratory set-up. He completed his MBBS from Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Bengaluru and MD Pathology from JJM Medical College, Davangere.
