Digital Textuality explores the ways in which the English language is used in new media technologies. This undergraduate textbook covers a range of digital text genres, including news sites, social media, collaborative fiction, hypertext fiction and poetry. Using Hallidayan linguistics, along with other approaches, such as Discourse Analysis, Multimodal Semiotics and Text World Theory, this book reflects the latest language-based research in digital texts. Paola Trimarco is an Associate Professor at the University of Nizwa in the Sultanate of Oman, where she teaches on the MA in English Language. Her publications include chapters in Teaching the New English: Short Stories (Palgrave), Trends in Pedagogical Stylistics (Continuum) and Handbook of Stylistics (Routledge). She is also the author of three books for Penguin EFL Readers and she is a co-author of The Discourse of Reading Groups: Socio-cognitive Approaches (Routledge).
