This thrilling romance takes you on a roller coaster ride from the very beginning with twists I didn't expect. Well written storyline that was intriguing and had amazing chemistry between Luke and Cat.

Started the ball rolling for more Cat, a Catholic school teacher that is on the path to becoming a nun, is on the run after witnessing a tragic event until Luke, a sergeant in K-9 unit, is sent to help her when she finally reaches her brother. As the story progresses friends are mistaken, pot shots are taken, and getting closer could leave them both shaken. Lexy Parker started the ball rolling for more in Demanding Courage. This tight knit group of officers continue to grow on me as the series expands. I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

This story took me completely by surprise. There’s a lot more to Luke than I imagined, and Cat was not at all who I thought she’d be. I loved her but she frustrated the living daylights out of me. And while I could so easily connect with her somewhat lonely, introverted childhood, she made a lot of choices that I wanted to smack her for. Luke and Bubba, I just wanted to cuddle the stuffing out of. Fierce alpha protectors, their devotion to duty hides some gooey marshmallow hearts. The mystery took a couple of unexpected turns that kept me guessing and now I can’t wait to see what will happen next for these K-9 officers.
