On New Year's Eve 1999, a chain reaction of computer malfunctions turns what was to be a global gala into a catastrophe. Pandemonium reigns on the streets of Manhattan. As the day progresses, the blaze of fear increases to the point of insanity.

Mark Joseph is the author of the hit techno-thrillers To Kill the Potemkin and Typhoon. He lives in San Francisco. On New Year's Eve 1999, he plans to be in New York to enjoy the show.
