When Donald and Janet are both found dead, DCI Grace Swan is called in to investigate. But she has problems of her own; still grieving the sudden death of her partner and at odds with her superiors.

Extraordinarily well written blend of police procedural and domestic psychological thriller. The book is, however, very dark, without the relief of humor you find in, eg, Frieda McFadden. Plenty of threads left to follow in the lives of the interesting police officers. If you are not discouraged by the dark aspects and a dim ending, then by all means read it!

Not a bad story, but the countless typos, left out or switched around words, as well as the horrible and incorrect punctuation made it rather annoying. Is nobody proof reading or editing anymore?
