Das umfangreiche Raubgut der Nationalsozialisten aus osteuropäischen Bibliotheken wird im Gegensatz zur Beutekunst in der Provenienzforschung nur selten gesondert betrachtet. Dieser Band stellt einschlägige Projekte vor und bietet Einblicke in Forschungsergebnisse, Darstellungen von Verteilwegen und Restitutionsberichte. Verknüpft wird all dies mit Überlegungen dazu, wie Bibliotheken die Ergebnisse der Provenienzforschung dauerhaft zugänglich machen können. Konkret geht es um geraubtes Bibliotheksgut aus dem heutigen Polen, Slowenien, Tschechien, der Ukraine und Ungarn. Untersucht werden unter anderem die Sammlungen der Herzog August Bibliothek Wolfenbüttel und der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
About the author
Daniela Mathuber ist Historikerin und lebt in Regensburg. Von 2022 bis 2024 untersuchte sie die Bibliothek des Leibniz-Instituts für Ost- und Südosteuropaforschung (IOS) in Bezug auf NS-Raubgut.
Tillmann Tegeler ist Historiker und Bibliothekar. Er leitet seit 2012 den Arbeitsbereich Bibliothek und elektronische Forschungsinfrastruktur am Leibniz-Institut für Ost- und Südosteuropaforschung (IOS) in Regensburg.
