Kai qun Zhang was born in Shanghai, China. He graduated from East China Normal University with a degree in Chinese Literature. Later, he studied at the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia, and received a master's degree in Design Studies. He had worked as an art editor for the Shanghai Radio and Television Bureau, Sydney Children's Publishing House and a few other places. He has also studied psychology, philosophy, Chinese culture, linguistics, art theory, and other humidity fields for many years. He had published the Chinese version of his book "Cultural Subconscious".
