At the same time, design is inevitably normative, if not often violent, as it stabilises the past, normalises the present, and precludes just and sustainable futures. Claudia Mareis (Prof. Dr.), geb. 1974, ist Designerin und Designwissenschaftlerin. Seit 2013 ist sie Professorin für Designtheorie und Leiterin des Instituts Experimentelle Design- und Medienkulturen an der Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst FHNW Basel.
