Phillips writes op-ed pieces in the alternative press & independent newspapers nationwide. He frequently speaks on media censorship & various sociopolitical issues on radio & TV talk shows, including "Talk of the Nation", "Public Interest", "Talk America", "Democracy Now!", & the "Jim Hightower Show".
