This was one of my first books by Mr. Cussler and it inspired me to read just about all of them. History, Technology, Countries, Culture, Atrocities, Action, Heroes, Tragedies, Humor, Laughter, Love and all those feelings that swell as you turn each page. Just about every book is a master at Humanity at it's worse and best. Try and put down any book by Clive Cussler and I promise it wont be until the last page, and then you'll be flipping pages just to read more. However my favorite other than Dirk Pitt are the Fargo Adventures!

Sahara fulfills all of the essential elements of the classic Clive Cuddler novel, exotic locations, beautiful women and 100 per cent action

Not very well written, crass, jingoistic, American nonsense, but.....great fun. Highly recommended!
About the author
Clive Cussler was the author of more than eighty books in five bestselling series, including Dirk Pitt®, NUMA Files®, Oregon Files®, Isaac Bell®, and Sam and Remi Fargo®. His life nearly paralleled that of his hero Dirk Pitt. Whether searching for lost aircraft or leading expeditions to find famous shipwrecks, he and his NUMA crew of volunteers discovered and surveyed more than seventy-five lost ships of historic significance, including the long-lost Civil War submarine Hunley, which was raised in 2000 with much publicity. Like Pitt, Cussler collected classic automobiles. His collection featured more than one hundred examples of custom coachwork. Cussler passed away in February 2020.
