when i first bought the book i couldn't get it to open after I downloaded it, i tried to open it several times a day for two weeks before it finally loaded and i could read it. as annoying as it was to get it to open after I downloaded it, I really loved the book, I myself and my 16 year old son both suffer from PTSD due to abuse and so does several oy close friends and family who are/or were in the military. So this story really hit home for me... Most people view PTSD with a stigma that its not real and people who are diagnosed with it should just be able to suck it up, and thats just not how it works. As with all books i enjoy no matter how short or long I still want them longer and the same goes for this one, my only suggestion is for it or other stories to be longer..

Was looking forward to continuing the series, but after buy Chopper I can't read it! I've removed download and then download it again, which usually works, but this downloads, buy go to read it, nothing, no pages, just a blank screen! Not sure about buy any more books, even though I'm loving this author, due to this problem. Limited income, so it's not like I have a lot of money I can loose

I was not prepared for how much I would end up loving these characters. For me, I was iffy about Chopper even all the way back to Dams and Nerd because he was a jerkish idiot. But when I got into his story and why he is the way he is, I fell in love with him. Both Ivy and Chopper are such strong characters on their own. But then you add them together and a history that develops, you end up with a power couple. Both of them deal with a great deal in their everyday lives, things most people don't. It's how they deal with it and each other that makes them stronger. There is one quote I love in the book most: "We’re far from perfect and maybe we never will be, but that’s okay. Nobody is perfect and we all have flaws and scars. It’s just what you’re willing to accept and work with. The love you build together can have cracks and yet be strong enough to mend and heal to grow stronger over time." That right there? Is the EXACT reason why I have even MORE respect for Esther. She took something so raw and devastating real like PTSD and made it make sense to the outside world. I'm so thankful for the way she wrote their love story. It's a story of hope, grief, faith and rising above it all to find love. Another fantastic winner!
