About this eBook

A blood-thirsty madman.

An avenging commando.

The final showdown...

Armed for justice, trained to kill—they are the best of the best. Star Commandos. A Military elite, forged in a galactic conflict. War’s end marks the beginning of their mission: to protect human colonies from the blood-drenched clutches of post-war scavengers.

It was the Commandos’ worst defeat: a bloody raid, a stolen shipment of arms, and the slaughter of innocents . . . with no survivors. Now, shattered by their last mission, the Commandos must face a ruthless madman one-on-one.

To make matters worse, this faceless lunatic is hiding on Colonel Islaen Connor’s home planet. This time, there’s more at stake than her honor . . . There are the lives of her family.

"Excellent SF Adventure!"—Andre Norton

About the author

Pauline Griffin (1947 - 2020) was born with an Irish love of storytelling. By combining that with her passion for research, she broke onto the science fiction scene in 1986 with the first of the Star Commandos series and later co-wrote three novels with Andre Norton. All told, she published thirty science fiction and fantasy novels, twelve short stories and a host of nonfiction pieces, winning two Muse Medallion awards along the way. She lived in Brooklyn, New York with her cats and her tropical fish, but her heart was always in the stars.
