關於這本電子書
This collection of short essays was published in 1948. It contains 10 short essays. Most of them represent the author`s state of mind. Author feels that in English language there is a wide range of short essays. They differ in topics, they differ in style. In Marathi, less topics and styles are handled, but at the same time the Marathi short essays reflect innovative ideas and delicate affection. Last 20 years have seen a lot of Marathi essays. Marathi does have a scope in the field of literature. ‘Teesra Prahar` in Marathi means the time of life between the youth and that of a responsible person of 2530 years. This stage is considered as very important as a person is expected to settle down during it. श्रेष्ठ वाङ्मयाची एक मोठी खूण म्हणजे शोकभावना.हा जीवनाचा एक अपरिहार्य भाग आहे.या सत्याची त्याला असलेली जाणीव. मात्र या जाणिवेमुळे ते वाङ्मय दबून जात नाही,गुदमरत नाही. भीतिग्रस्त होऊन डोळे मिटून घेत नाही, जीवनापासून दूर पळून जात नाही.माणसाच्या मनात आणि सामाजिक जीवनात जे जे अमंगल असते त्याच्यावर मात करू पाहणाNया त्याच्या आत्मशक्तिचे चित्र रेखाटण्यात या वाङ्मयाला नेहमीच आनंद होतो. ही शक्ती अनेकदा पराभूत होते,तिला नेहमी नवनव्या जखमा होत असतात.पण एखाद्या उत्कट क्षणी अमंगलाचा पराभव करून ती विजयी होते.
