About the author
Nicolene Louw het grafiese ontwerp aan die Universiteit van Pretoria gestudeer en later haar meestersgraad in illustrasie aan die Universiteit van Stellenbosch voltooi. Nicolene woon tans in Pretoria waar sy klasgee en werk as ’n vryskutillustreerder, ontwerper en beeldende kunstenaar. Haar primêre belangstelling is narratiewe illustrasie en die vertel van outentieke stories deur middel van illustrasies en strokiesprente. In 2008 het sy die Scenario-prys by die Internasionale Fumetto-strokiesprentfees in Lucern, Switserland, gewen. Haar werk word gereeld plaaslik en oorsee gepubliseer en uitgestal.
