EDITING is apparently a lost art. The sentences begining in first person but changing to third person makes this book HORRIBLE in my opinion. Great story but come-on, doesn't anyone proofread before publishing? This is one thing that SCREAMS ERROR fairly loudly. I didn't even try to finish reading it after the 4th chapter when the person perspective was rampantly changing.

4.5 Stars for Broken (Breakers Hockey #1) I love hockey romance and as soon as I heard that Elise Faber was starting a new hockey series I was excited and I have to say Luc and Lexi’s friends to lovers romance was everything I expected and so much more. If Broken is anything to go by she will certainly have a hit series on her hands. Luc is the GM for the Breakers and Lexi is the team’s lawyer so they not only work together, they also mix in the same circles but Lexi is married and that means she can ever be a friend to the man who has loved her from the moment he meet her. But what happens when Lexi’s world falls apart and Luc steps in to support her, will these friends become lovers and what will the future hold .... This romance ticked all my boxes, I smiled, I shed some tears and I found myself hoping this couple got the HEA they both deserved. I adored Luc and Lexi and I found myself captivated and sitting on the edge of my seat as I joined their emotional journey and now, I’m even more excited for what’s coming next from the Breakers Hockey team. I highly recommend one clicking this book to all romance lovers as well as sports romance lovers.

4.5 Star review of Broken (Breakers Hockey #1) by Elise Faber I was excited when I learnt that Elise Faber had a new hockey series coming out. This is Luc and Lexi’s friends to lovers story and I was hooked on the story from the first to the last chapter. I enjoyed Ms. Faber’s writing style and found Broken to be an emotional, well written story and one that ticked the boxes for me. Luc is the GM for the Baltimore Breakers whilst Lexi is the team’s lawyer. Luc has been in love with Lexi for a few years, but she is married so he can only be her friend. However when Lexi’s world falls apart it is Luc who steps up to be her rock. I loved both these characters separately but when they were able to finally get together they were awesome. I was so cheering for these two to get he happily ever after that they so deserved. This was a roller coaster of a read at times and one that had me on the edge of my seat at times. If Broken is anything to go by, then Ms. Faber has another hit series on her hand. I cannot wait to see what she has in store for the Breakers Hockey series.
