Jeremiah seeks the help of the bold and tenacious attorney, Pierce Evangelista, to prove the Kialegee Tribeâs treaty rights to the land. Evangelista suspects that a small tribe, like the Kialegee, will struggle to withstand the blowback and the unscrupulous and illegal tactics of Oklahoma politicians, the Muscogee Nation, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs to maintain the status quo.
Jeremiah and Pierce take on the State of Oklahoma and federal government in a series of legal battles. Together, they fight to protect the Kialegee tribe as they face legal, unethical, and life-threatening conflicts, the outcome of which will affect many people for generations to come.

Luis Figueredo was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. He completed his undergraduate degree in History from Brandeis University in Massachusetts and earned his law degree from Harvard Law School. He is currently the City Attorney for the City of Doral.
During his legal profession, Luis developed a nationwide practice representing a diverse group of clients that include municipalities, national trade associations, corporations, real estate developers, and Indian Tribes.Â
