Bioenergy Recovery from Biomass Waste explores the innovative methods of converting biomass waste into clean energy and valuable products like heat, electricity, biofuels, chemicals, and fertilizers. Focusing on various treatment methods for biomass, the book covers sludge, food wastes, algae, lignocellulosic waste, and livestock manure. It offers comprehensive insights for improving sustainability in waste management by comparing the environmental impacts of different treatment technologies. In addition to explaining treatment methods, the book discusses environmental risks, practical applications, and theoretical guidance. It addresses current policies, bottlenecks, and opportunities, making it a valuable resource for students, researchers, engineers, industry professionals, and policymakers. - Offers in-depth coverage of characteristics, treatment methods, and high-value products derived from biomass - Covers sources such as municipal wastewater, sludge, food wastes, agriculture wastes, algae, and animal wastes - Assesses efficiency and advantages and disadvantages of various technologies for different biomass sources - Considers environmental risks, greenhouse gas emissions, and reductions and related sustainability issues
