Acerca de este libro electrónico

In "Beyond Good and Evil", Nietzsche accuses past philosophers of lacking critical sense and blindly accepting dogmatic premises in their consideration of morality. Specifically, he accuses them of founding grand metaphysical systems upon the faith that the good man is the opposite of the evil man, rather than just a different expression of the same basic impulses that find more direct expression in the evil man. The work moves into the realm "beyond good and evil" in the sense of leaving behind the traditional morality which Nietzsche subjects to a destructive critique in favour of what he regards as an affirmative approach that fearlessly confronts the perspectival nature of knowledge and the perilous condition of the modern individual. Acerca del autor

Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900) was a German philosopher, cultural critic, and poet whose revolutionary ideas have left an indelible mark on modern thought. Born in Röcken, Prussia, Nietzsche's early life was marked by a strict Lutheran upbringing, which he later vehemently opposed. His academic career began with classical philology, but he soon diverged into philosophy, where his radical ideas flourished.Nietzsche's work is characterized by its critique of traditional morality, religion, and the concept of objective truth. He famously declared "God is dead," challenging the foundations of Western Christianity and sparking intense controversy. His exploration of the "will to power" and the concept of the "Übermensch" (Overman) questioned the limits of human potential and the nature of existence itself.Nietzsche's influence extends far beyond philosophy. His ideas have permeated literature, psychology, and political theory, impacting figures like Sigmund Freud, Jean-Paul Sartre, and even modern existential and postmodern thinkers. Despite his profound influence, Nietzsche's life was marred by personal struggles, including a debilitating mental illness that led to his early demise.Modern readers find Nietzsche intriguing not only for his provocative ideas but also for his aphoristic style and poetic prose. His relentless questioning of societal norms and his vision of human potential continue to resonate, making him a timeless figure in the landscape of intellectual history.
