Providing in-depth coverage and comprehensive discussion on essential concepts of electronics engineering, this textbook begins with detailed explanation of classification of semiconductors, transport phenomena in semiconductor and Junction diodes. It covers circuit modeling techniques for bipolar junction transistors, used in designing amplifiers. The textbook discusses design construction and operation principle for junction gate field-effect transistor, silicon controlled rectifier and operational amplifier. Two separate chapters on Introduction to Communication Systems and Digital Electronics covers topics including modulation techniques, logic circuits, De Morgan's theorem and digital circuits. Applications of oscillators, silicon controlled rectifier and operational amplifier are covered in detail. Despre autor

Chinmoy Saha is Associate Professor, Department of Avionics, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram. He has more than 10 years of teaching and research experience in the field of planar microwave circuits and systems, digital communication and digital circuits and logic design. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Calcutta and has published several papers in national and international journals. He has been teaching courses on basic electronics, wireless communication, antenna theory and design and optoelectronics and optical fiber communication at undergraduate and postgraduate level. His areas of interest include split ring resonators and their applications, metamaterials and ultra wide band (UWB) antennas.

Arindam Halder is Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in Swami Vivekananda Institute of Science and Technology, West Bengal University of Technology. He has been teaching courses on basic electronics, analog electronics, digital electronics and solid state devices at undergraduate level. He has contributed in peer review journals and his research areas include digital signal processing, signals and systems and switching networks.

Debarati Ganguly is Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Lourdes Matha College of Science and Technology, Kerala. Her areas of interest include RF and Microwave engineering and Antennas. She has published papers in journals of national and international repute.
