This is an exceptionally thorough and understandable book on sailing. The language is plain English, much less formal than older books on the topic. It covers everything from dingy's to cruising yachts. Topics are explained simply for beginners, yet are covered in sufficient depth for reference by the experienced. Illustrations are clear, the many photos are high resolution and useful. The added convenience of being in electronic form is a great advantage (and the Google Play Reader is best of breed.) I am very pleased to have discovered this book prior to leaving on my solo cruise,
