About the author

Anand Swaroop is masters in Economics and an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) office. He has experience in various fields of taxation. He was an Assistant Economic Adviser to the Department of Economic and Policy Research at RBI between 2002 to 2008. Presently he is on deputation to Government of Rajasthan and served as director, State Directorate of State Insurance and Provident Fund. Presently he is Director General, State Directorate of Revenue Intelligence.

You are known for expressing your candid opinion on the socio-economic environment. The combination of a sensitive heart and a critical vision is the hallmark of your writing. You have also been associated for a long time with some of the committed NGOs for inclusive development / for the establishment of an egalitarian society.
