An Introduction to Green Nanotechnology, Volume 28, provides students, scientists and chemical engineers with an overview of several types of nanostructures, discusses the synthesis and characterization of nanostructures, and provides applications of nanotechnology in daily life. The book offers a foundation to green nanotechnology by explaining why green nanotechnology is important. Covers biological sources in green nanotechnology, antioxidants, green nanostructures, mechanism, synthesis and characterization. The book ends with an evaluation of the risks of nanotechnology in human life and future perspectives. - Introduces novel sources of plants having a high potential to be used as bio media to synthesize nanostructures - Provides phytochemical properties and antioxidant potential, and their effects on stability, morphology and size of green nanostructures - Includes a medicinal and technological comparison of green synthesized nanostructures to nano-products from non-green methods - Uses accessible language, avoiding complex concepts of mathematics, biology and chemistry

Dr. Mahmoud Nasrollahzadeh is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Nanobiotechnology Laboratory at the University of Qom. Mahmoud's research explores the synthesis of biowaste and nature-inspired (nano)materials and advanced functional porous materials for environmental applications, catalysis, and energy conversion. He received several national awards from his country including the 2021 Abu Rayhan Prize from the Iranian Academy of Sciences for the Top Young Chemist of Iran and the 2020 Distinguished Researcher Award from the Iran Science Elites Federation. In 2023, He visited Technische Universität Dresden (TUD), Germany, as a guest researcher under a Senior Research Fellowship to carry out research on lignin-based materials. At present, he is the scientific advisor of industry and has received research funding from different institutions and corporate entities. His passion is mentoring and developing young scientists and technical personnel.S. Mohammad Sajadi is professor of phytochemistry at Cihan university and Soran university. He studied pure and applied chemistry at Kurdistan University in 2005. In 2006 he continued his MSc in phytochemistry under the guidance of Prof. Robert Verpoorte from Leiden University. In 2009, he joined to Soran University as faculty member and then PhD researcher to continue his researches in the fields of phytochemistry and nanobiotechnology. In 2018 he joined to Cihan university as faculty member and senior researcher. Up to now Dr. Sajadi has achieved many national and international awards following a lot of numbers of his publications in high impact peer reviewed journals. He is also acting as Kurdistan National Research Conceal (KNRC) member. Up to now, he published three books in the field of nanotechnology which his most recent book entitled ′′An introduction to green nanotechnology‵‵ was recently published by Elsevier.
