Acerca de este libro electrónico

Amsterdam is a whisper felt in every canal, on every cobblestone street, and with every passing bicycle. A city that blends history and modernity, tradition and creativity, inviting travelers to get lost, to explore, and, above all, to experience every moment with all their senses.

This guide offers more than a typical tourist itinerary: it is a travel companion designed to help you discover Amsterdam your way. You’ll find a clear framework to situate the city within the Netherlands, an intimate look at its character and personality, and practical advice to plan your visit without stress.

Explore its most iconic neighborhoods—from Jordaan to De Pijp, through the Red Light District and Amsterdam North—and learn to enjoy the lesser-known corners that reveal the city’s authentic life. The guide also suggests excursions to charming nearby towns and other Dutch cities, extending your journey beyond the urban center.

Amsterdam’s culinary scene also takes center stage: from traditional dishes like haring or bitterballen to markets, cafés, and contemporary restaurants that showcase the city’s diverse flavors. For those who want to experience Amsterdam from the sofa, the guide offers cultural references in literature, film, music, and series that depict or are inspired by the city, letting you connect with its spirit even before your trip.

Whether it’s your first visit or a deeper return to a city that never grows old, this guide is designed to accompany you every step of the way, letting you chart your own route, at your own pace, according to your curiosity. Because Amsterdam isn’t just visited—it’s lived.

Acerca del autor

Pablo Balibrea Albaladejo (1979) holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Murcia. His professional journey began at ASSIDO, an association for people with Down syndrome, where values such as effort, dedication, and above all, heart, are present every day.

Pablo possesses a creativity deeply rooted in his origins and, from a young age, felt the need to transmit, create, and contribute to the world what he had always wished to find.

A pioneer at the time, he launched a podcast titled “Confessions of a Player”, which achieved great success and taught him all that one can give and receive in this world.

Overnight, a great adventure linked to music was born, with vinyl records as the main protagonists, which you can follow on his Instagram profile Ravenflow.

His way of disconnecting is through travel, where he enjoys immersing both mind and heart in every place he visits from the very first moment. Once a destination is in his mind, his focus and creativity take over, adding that touch of passion every traveler experiences at the start of a great adventure.

This touch of passion is clearly reflected in the pages of the Iceland trilogy, which includes “Between Volcanoes and Waterfalls”, “The Iceland Suitcase”, and “Towards the Impossible”. It continued in “New York: The Big Apple Bite by Bite”, “Copenhagen: The City of Canals”, and “Seoul: Discovering the Capital of South Korea”. These guides, all freely available, aim to provide ideas to fellow travelers to help turn their dream journeys into reality.
