The author writes with passion and determination in her storylines. She never fails to set the scene and draws the reader in set against crime and murders. You may begin to think you can name the perpetrator and motive, but then you are hit with a surprise in the background. Whodunit is not necessarily who you think, or may be them but not necessarily as to why. Rina has covered herself in secrets, like a shroud, until Ben finally manages to break through.

Ben & Rina bring a storm of heat & heartache. You can’t help but root for them every step of the way. Rina tugs at your heartstrings with her self-denial, only to make you want to cheer when she finally dares to take a chance. Zeke & Ben’s banter & camaraderie will leave you laughing out loud & feeling all the warmth of true friendship. Richard is an absolute standout, his role adds depth & charm. Suspense that keeps you hooked & a love story that burns.

The second story in the A Slaying Love Novel, Detective Ben Stoyer and Rina Chastain's well written story with strong characters and a action packed storyline that flowed smoothly across the pages and kept me turning pages. There is mystery, suspense, drama, twists, turns and romance. I found the story to be well worth reading. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
