Prof. CA. Abha Mathur is a Professor of Commerce at Satyawati College, University of Delhi. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant with multiple academic qualifications, including B.Com (Hons.), M.Com, a PG Diploma in Business Management, a Diploma in Computer Programming, and a PhD from the Department of Commerce, University of Delhi. With a combined experience of thirty-nine years (thirteen years in private-sector finance and twenty-six years in academia), she has held senior financial positions in industry and now teaches various commerce and management subjects.
Prof. Mathur has contributed significantly to academic projects, such as content development for a B.A. Program Application course in 'Tourism,' and served as a Paper Coordinator for 'Accounting for Managerial Decisions' at the M.Com level for e-PG Pathshala. She has reviewed and authored numerous modules, presented eleven papers at national/international conferences, published twenty-four articles in reputed journals, and written multiple books covering topics like entrepreneurship, marketing, human resource management, organisational behaviour, and moral stories for children.
Beyond academics, Prof. Mathur is deeply involved in social work, acting as the Honorary Secretary of 'The Consumer Federation of India' and Vice-Chairperson of 'South Delhi Citizen's Council.' A recipient of the prestigious Best Teacher Award from the Delhi Government (2019), she has also served as Coordinator of the IGNOU Centre at her college and functioned as Acting Principal on several occasions. Combining her industry insights with academic expertise, Prof. Mathur remains dedicated to shaping the next generation of capable and socially responsible commerce professionals.
