This is, however, more than an amusing story; with Adams' characteristic authenticity, A TEXAS MATCHMAKER provides a wealth of detail about life on the great ranches of early Texas.

Andy Adams (1859-1935) is celebrated as one of the most important chroniclers of the range cattle industry & of cowboys. He was the author of "Wells Brothers" & "The Ranch on the Beaver," among other works.
