This is also the story of his wife, Amanda, who has been the author’s guardian angel while battling health problems of her own. They were an ordinary couple head over heels in love when he fell ill. This account isn’t about seeking sympathy as the author believes in just getting on with it— pulling up his pants and battling through is something he’s always done.
