Munshi Premchand was a pioneer in Hindi and Urdu fiction. He wrote about three hundred short stories and fourteen novels which continue to captivate the young and old alike.Premchand Classics for Children is a series of six short stories translated and adapted from original stories written by Premchand. The stories are vivid in their portrayal of tradition-bound Indian vilages and towns and describe conditions and situations that are common even today. Premchands stories make use of satire and humour to get the message across.
