Es wird die Geschichte des Kapitän Nemo und seines Unterseebootes Nautilus erzählt, auf das der französische Professor Aronnax, sein Diener Conseil und der Harpunier Ned Land durch Zufall geraten. Gefangen an Bord der Nautilus sind sie gezwungen, auf ihr eine Weltreise unter Wasser mitzumachen. Dabei erleben sie allerlei Abenteuer; sie kämpfen gegen einen Riesenkraken und einen Hai, sie sehen Atlantis und sind an Bord, als Kapitän Nemo mit seiner Nautilus den Südpol erreicht. Die Serie "Jules Verne" wird fortgesetzt.
