Fretless bass is a unique instrument. The approach to playing fretless bass is much more like playing upright bass than to fretted bass. This book will cover many of the important techniques required to become a good fretless bassist. Some of these include slides, intonation development, and sustain. The 100 examples are written in bass clef and TAB (to suggest positions). All examples included on companion audio. Includes access to online audio.

Bassist/Author Chris Matheos is a native of Rochester, NY. He studied music at The Berklee College of Music in Boston. He has toured with national acts in about every style of music. He is endorsed by Washburn fretted basses, Keith Roscoe fretless basses, Conklin electric upright basses, David Eden Amps, Pigtronix effects, Washburn acoustic electric basses, and David Eden strings.
