Crystal Stowers
I fought my way through this and the next two in the series. I enjoyed the premise of the storyline, but it was horribly written in my opinion. I feel that with more writing experience, a better editor, three of these could be one book, and be a little better. The story was so full of holes, clearly not enough research done, and so overly descriptive, it left me disappointed. This really could have been an amazing series, but it just isn't. It felt like the writer was way too young (or really inexperienced) to understand plot lines, back story and research. I never leave negative reviews, and I've read a lot. There are two more in this series and I'm not even bothering. I barely got through the third one. The narrator fell flat. She has no personality with the characters, except making you want to roll your eyes or pull out your hair in frustration.
