It's really enjoyable. It was a perspective I had never read before, and I found myself pleasantly surprised. Any fan of a good murder mystery would enjoy this book.

Having a 76 year old mum who lives on a retirement complex this book felt like Richard had written it with them in mind. I was hooked after 5 minutes, I laughed out loud several times and as someone who annoyingly guesses "who done it" in every book and TV show I watch I was thrilled when I got it wrong. I've already downloaded the next one. Also...Lesley Manville narrating was an utter joy.

Completely enchanting. Getting to know the characters was such a pleasure. Some of the cast in particular, came to feel like treasured friends you cannot wait to see again. With hilarious shenanigans & a mystery that keeps you guessing. This book is a brand new shiny jewel in the crown of Great British fiction. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and absolutely cannot wait to see what mischief the gang will get into next time

About the author

Richard Osman rose to fame presenting Pointless with Alexander Armstrong. He's now a creative director for Endemol UK, and has worked as an executive producer on numerous shows including 8 Out of 10 Cats and 10 O'Clock Live, as well as presenting his own quiz shows. He is also a regular on panel shows such as Have I Got News For You and writes a column for the Radio Times. Richard has always wanted to be an author, and The Thursday Murder Club is his debut, bringing together his love of mysteries and British people.
