When video footage of a local TV news anchor having sex with an underaged paid escort goes public, he takes his wife hostage in a desperate attempt to salvage his crumbling life. Although other reporters at the scene go home when the situation resolves peacefully, veteran journalist Geneva Chase knows thereâs more to the story. Following leads, she traces the blackmail attempt to an exclusive app called the Whisper Room. When she tracks down the business owners, she is left with more questions than answers.
But then one of the Whisper Roomâs escorts turns up murderedâand she looks a lot like the blond in the blackmail video. The more Genie digs, the more blackmail victims and potential suspects she findsâand the more people she angers. Dangerous people, with links to organized crime and human trafficking. She has worked across the country at theaters such as Trinity Rep, Cleveland Play House, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Intiman Theatre, and the Arden Theatre Company. She holds a BA from the College of William & Mary and an MFA in Acting from Brown University/Trinity Rep.
