In Iraq, Captain Matthew Duffy, recruited by British Intelligence, once more faces a German enemy. But Matthew is confused by his attraction to Diane, now working for the Germans, and finds himself having to make a hard decision. Just as he is coming to terms with his choice, he meets his estranged son, James Barrington Jnr. Back in Sydney, George Macintosh is determined to keep control of his business empire and to prevent his nephew David from taking a seat on the Board. Meanwhile, George’s son Donald is packed off to the family station Glen View in Northern Queensland in an effort to curb his excesses. In the middle of all this upheaval, the two families experience loss, greatness and tragedy, and romance blooms in the unlikeliest of hearts under the gathering clouds of war.

نبذة عن المؤلف

Peter Watt's life experiences have included time as a soldier, articled clerk to a solicitor, prawn trawler deckhand, builder's labourer, pipe layer, real estate salesman, private investigator, police sergeant and adviser to the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary. He has lived and worked with Aborigines, Islanders, Vietnamese and Papua New Guineans.

John Voce is a graduate of London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and has worked as an actor in the UK for more than 30 years. In addition to narrating audiobooks, an occupation John loves, he has also appeared in Downton Abbey, Doctor Who, Primeval, Grantchester, Neighbours, Holby City, Miranda and Jonathan Creek. He also voiced Thomas The Tank Engine for a live international tour. He has resided in Melbourne, Australia since 2015.
