"Sometimes you get lucky & something perfect falls into your lap." It's no secret I LOVE Vi's writing & this story is no exception. Vi reigns as one of the supreme when it comes to writing MC's that are swoon worthy IMO but there's always a little emotional gut punch you can expect from her which just adds so much to the story. Six months ago, Sloane is left at the altar, JILTED by her fiancé. She's wanted nothing to do with men since then. Unfortunately, she's surrounded by love, writing for a bridal magazine & having to attend wedding after wedding. She's totally caught off guard when a stranger at a wedding begins to flirt with her. She finds herself locked in a coat closet with him & locking lips. Wilder Hayes is perfect, except for when he opens his mouth, then all his witty & cocky ways come screaming through the door! After their closet 'close-up', she doubts she'll ever see him again until she walks into work one day & discovers that he's her boss's son. Will his alluring & handsome ways sway her into opening up her heart again? This slow burn romance is filled with all the witty & snarky banter you've come to expect and love from Vi. Wilder's character is so smooth but yet so dang thoughtful as well. He's been closed off to love too but something about Sloane has this man completely gone for this woman & boy does he show & prove to her that she is EVERYTHING to him. 🎧Let's talk narration: There's just no one quite like Andi Arndt to deliver sassy & witty banter she once again she delivers BIG TIME! She was perfect at voicing Sloane, the hesitant to love, hurt FMC, who is bewitched by this sexy man. Aiden was terrific with his performance of Wilder. I really loved his character. Wilder was so endearing & sweet, especially because he's the one that falls first. He's been a no commitment kind of guy, which just made him even more appealing to me. This was such a fun listen & Vi's stories always deliver all the charm & crazy chemistry you want from two MCs. Their banter was so much fun & Sloane can dish it right back to him, which is always so fun from an FMC. The Cinderella moment was everything from Wilder. The PERFECT listen as you head into summer. Thank you, Vi Keeland, for an advanced copy of the audiobook. All thoughts are my own.

I listened to the audio version of this book narrated by Aiden Snow and Andi Arndt. You can't go wrong with a book narrated by either of them, and the narration bumped it up to 4 stars from the 3.5 stars I would have given the e-book. This is an insta-love trope. I really have a hard time buying into that. Wilder was supposed to be such a womanizer and then just upon one interaction with Sloan he was ready to not be with anyone else until she was ready to be with him--and she did not like him at all at first (except for his eyes). They keep getting thrown together because Sloan is writing an article about a slew of weddings occurring close together for a bunch of friends. The wedding shenanigans were great, the banter was wonderful and the narration was exceptional! Thanks to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for the audio copy. All thoughts are my own.

Sloan was jilted by her ex-fiancé on her wedding day! She’s definitely scared and decides to take her time. While Wilder is quite the playboy. This was a truly romantic story. Wilder is completely smitten, and it suits him perfectly. It’s a delightful blend of sweetness and spice.
